Futuras Familias

Infant Education

Infant Education is from 3 to 5 years old and gives children opportunities to establish a solid base to build on and develop their subsequent future learning.

At CIT we think that children of this age should have many possibilities to have successful experiences in as many curricular areas covered throughout this stage, these areas are offered in a wide, variety and flexible way. We also think that a stimulant environment where children can explore in a safe way is the best guarantee to contribute to their future learning and development.

The Infant Education offers a wide range of activities designed to promote the children’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional development, which is always present through the Education in Values, as part of the schools mission statement.

Helping children to develop the key skills of communication, application of number, information technology, working with others, problem solving and improving one’s own performance are an integral part of the curriculum that we offer.

In addition, the Infant Education emphasizes, in a very special way the development of abilities, related to making decisions through exploration and social environment to increase their learning. The purpose is to develop in a conscious way the emotional intelligence of students and make them able to identify their own emotions dealing with them appropriately.

In concrete, the educational objectives of this stage are to improve the processing of information, deductive and inductive reasoning – including problem solving and the prediction of consequences as– the creative, and the evaluation of your own abilities and those of others in order to gain more awareness of their own capability and to increase confidence in their own reasoning and values.

Above all, we know that our objective should be focused on:

  • To help our children to be prepared for a plural, global and interactive world,

  • To respect their own capacities and personal evolutional development,

  • In an environment were they feel loved, respected and accepted.

As these are the conditions that permits the true and correct development to reach their maximum potential.
