The Inti Gala is a charity event organised by our 1st of Baccalaureate students after their trip to Ecuador.

The event raises funds for the Yachana Foundation which for many years has been doing incredible work with the indigenous communities in the area.

Their most outstanding project is the construction of a community education centre and we decided to make this exciting challenge our own.

We would like to thank all the families who took part in this very special event. It was a fun-filled day which undoubtedly helped to strengthen the bonds that unite our school community. We would like to make a special mention to the Family Lab for their help in organising the party.

Our 1st year Baccalaureate students are on their way to Quito, Ecuador, where they will be volunteering with the Yachana Foundation and participating in a cultural exchange with the Johannes Kepler school as part of the school’s Optimo Project.

The Optimo Project is a CIT program and one of the pillars of the Experiential Curriculum that, in parallel to the Academic Curriculum, offers our students an itinerary of experiences and challenges that progressively incorporate skills and competencies that strengthen their self-awareness and enhance their decision-making capabilities.

In the same way, this trip has the purpose of collaborating in the construction of an ODS center, a place where people from the area can value their culture and develop their skills towards sustainability.

All the work that has been done during the past weeks and the money raised from the upcoming gala, will go to Yachana, a foundation whose mission is to protect the Ecuadorian jungle and promote ecotourism and the development of social programs.

In addition, this is another step towards the implementation of a culture based on the Sustainable Development Goals specified in the 2030 Agenda in which the school is already working to become certified through the SDG Certificate Program.

This week, our Year 7 students will go to Candanchú on a trip that is part of the Optimo project – which forms part of our experiential curriculum. After a complicated year in which we had to change the destination for last year’s trip to Sierra Nevada for organizational reasons related to the Covid-19, we can finally return to Candanchú this year.

The purpose of the Optimo project is to integrate sport as an essential complement to education. Practising sport is not only a physical process, it is also an emotional, social and cognitive challenge. That is why it is so important for us to offer our students this experience, a trip where they also develop social skills by sharing a week with their classmates and teachers.

We can’t wait to see all the pictures and comments on the forum to see how much they are enjoying themselves!

?????? ?????́?-??????́? and ??????? ????????, co-founders and CEO of ???????? will be in charge of inspiring our students in a meeting in which they will open the doors to the largest private leisure and cultural initiative promoted in Spain with an important international dimension.

Sandra García-Sanjuán always knew that her mission in life was to do something big and that she wanted to live surrounded by stars. Today, the showbusiness and entertainment entrepreneur has more than 20 years of experience in the sector.

It was together with her husband Ignacio Maluquer that she decided to found Starlite, the international festival that in each of its 9 editions has brought together around 300,000 people of up to 72 different nationalities.

2022 has just begun. I have been the Principal for three months, although I have been part of this great family for many years. I don’t want to start the year reflecting on all the good or bad things that have happened to us, nor do I want to do it trying to imagine how wonderful this new year will be.

I write these words as an invitation to value the present, to live and enjoy it. I write these words to you, the students, because you are the most important thing we have in this community so that every day, you feel proud of who you are and of the achievements obtained with passion and commitment. I am also writing to you, the school staff, because with your small daily actions you help students achieve their goals and more. I am also writing to you, the families, because every day you bring the people you love the most to school with the confidence that all will be well.

I would like to wish you Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year in which, more than ever, we enjoy and build a wonderful present.
